ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Overview:

Spring Training has arrived!  Get your baseball athlete back in shape after a long layoff from America’s Past-time.   We will be emphasizing the fundamentals including pitching, fielding, throwing and hitting.  The highly experienced players and coaches from Diamond Elite will be running the classes and are guaranteed to get your baseball player ready for the upcoming season!

**All players should bring a bat, glove and helmet**

MEET THE COACHES

COACH SAM:

Sam Plank is in his 25th year teaching in Loudoun County.  Coach Sam went to West Virginia University and graduated with a B.S. in health and physical education and an M.ED in teacher education.  Coach Sam is the Head Baseball coach at Riverside High School entering his 5th season with the Rams. Previously, he spent 15 years as Head Coach at Stone Bridge HS winning State Championship in 2015.

 

COACH WYATT:

Coach Wyatt Shenkman is currently a Senior right-hand pitcher at Riverside High School for Coach Sam Plank. Wyatt has played on the Canes National 17u for the last few seasons and will be moving on to East Carolina University to play baseball next year!

Here at Michael & Son SportsPlex at Dulles, we are huge advocates of providing personalized and tailored training and tutoring that resonate with children. However, the content of our youth baseball programs is certainly aided by the surroundings.

Our indoor turf fields do not only remove the threat of games being called off or becoming potentially dangerous. The flat surfaces also allow kids to develop at the fastest rate and enjoy a level of play that can’t be matched elsewhere. From training to league games, enjoyment is evident in every play.

Ultimately, we want kids to develop the same level of love for the game as we have. Thanks to the winning combination of our quality coaching and stunning facilities, you’ll see that this is very much possible.

While our programs focus on kids baseball drills and leagues, we also appreciate the need for flexibility. We also offer multi-sport camps and summer camps that allow your son or daughter to enjoy the benefits of youth baseball along with the rewards of many other sports.
