Coach Sam:

Coach Sam has been coaching here at the Sportsplex for 6 years! Prior to launching his coaching career he was a 4 year varsity player in high school for both soccer and football. After graduating he had an opportunity to continue playing at a collegiate level but unfortunately an injury cut his chances short. He went on to graduate from James Madison university with a degree in psychology and now loves spreading his sports knowledge with the youth. Not only will coach sam offer the best opportunity for your kids to learn more skills, he will also teach your kids many life lessons about teamwork and other important skills.

Coach Marquis:

Coach Marquis started coaching and playing flag football in 1993 as a college work study/intramural activity. He competed at the state level in North Carolina, Virginia, & Ohio. He also competed several times as a State Champion in the United States Flag Football League. Marquis played quarterback, wide receiver, and defensive back. He started officiating flag football in 1997 with experience in 5-man, 7-man, 8-man, and 9-man leagues. 

Youth Flag Football That Focuses On Development On & Off The Field

Our youth flag football program is designed to introduce flag football to beginner and intermediate players. Participants are instructed on the basics of throwing, catching, carrying and defense. The goal is to develop players through various drills and games. Each week new games and drills focus on developing teamwork, skills, and coordination through exercise.

We run kids flag football courses under two age categories, which are 6-8 and 9-12, which keeps the playing field fair and safe for all participants. Our leagues and sessions are a hit with kids throughout Ashburn, VA, Falls Church, Reston, Leesburg, VA, and all surrounding areas. Moreover, our indoor facilities are very accommodating for parents too.

While the focus is very much on developing the skills needed to become a better athlete and, in particular, a better football player, our experienced trainers also believe in helping kids grow off the field. Leadership, communication, and teamwork all play essential roles in our service.
